What this policy covers

This policy explains what information this website collects, what I do with it, and what I never do with it. It applies to ideal-financial.net. It was last updated September 28, 2026. I’ve written it in plain English on purpose, the same way I explain loans.

Information collected on this site

Information you give me: when you request a guide or use the contact form, you provide your name, email address, and, on the contact and professional forms, optional details like your phone number, firm, or a message. That’s it. No forms on this site ask for Social Security numbers, account numbers, or financial details.

Information collected automatically: like nearly every website, this site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to help me understand which pages people visit. Analytics data is aggregated: I see that a number of people visited a page, not who they are.

How your information is used

To send you the guide you asked for, to reply when you contact me, and to understand which pages of this site are useful. If you become a client, information you provide later in the loan process is governed by the privacy disclosures you receive with your loan application, as federal law requires.

What I never do

I do not sell your information. I do not rent it, trade it, or share it with marketers. I do not add you to a drip campaign, and requesting a guide does not sign you up for anything. This is a one-person practice, and there is no marketing department to protect you from.

Service providers that help run this site

A few well-known companies process data on my behalf, strictly to make the site function: Hostinger hosts the website; Google provides email delivery for guide requests, business email, and the analytics described above; FormSubmit relays contact-form messages to my inbox. Each receives only what’s needed for its job.

When sharing is part of the job

A few things require your information to go further than me, and only as far as the task needs:

• Your loan. If you apply, your application goes to the lender that will fund it, and from there to the parties every mortgage needs: credit reporting agencies, the appraiser, title and escrow, and, on a reverse mortgage, HUD and the independent counseling agency you choose.
• People you ask me to include. If a financial advisor, attorney, real estate agent or family member referred you or is helping you, I share your file with them only after you authorize it in writing.
• When the law requires it. For example, a regulator’s examination or a court order.

Once you apply, the privacy notice you receive with your loan documents explains your rights under federal and California law in full.

Cookies and your choices

The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use this site, or install Google’s opt-out tool at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no cross-site tracking here to turn off.

Your rights

Want to know what I have, correct it, or have it deleted? Email ken@ideal-financial.net or call (818) 674-7284 and ask. I’ll handle it personally, usually the same day. I extend the same courtesy to everyone, wherever they live.

Children

This site offers reverse mortgage information for homeowners 55 and older. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes to how information is handled would be noted prominently here.
